A Little Messy Productions: My nonno Loves Workshop

A Little Messy Productions: My nonno Loves Workshop

I’m excited to be joining A Little Messy Productions these September school holidays for a very special creative day for kids in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley!

On Monday 21 September 2026, I’ll be at the Shepparton Senior Citizens Centre for a morning of art, storytelling, creative writing, drama, movement and plenty of imagination.

The theme for the day is:

READ. WRITE. CREATE. MOVE. CONNECT.

During my workshop, I’ll be sharing some of the ideas behind my books My Nonno Loves and My Nonna Loves and encouraging children to explore how colour, images and symbols can express family, love and connection.

We’ll create a personal mixed-media collage, using different materials and creative techniques to make an artwork that tells a story about something meaningful to each child. And, of course, everyone gets to take their finished artwork home!

There will also be creative writing, drama and movement activities, plus a yummy Italian-inspired treat — so it promises to be a fun and very creative day.

I love combining my two worlds of children’s books and art, and I can’t wait to spend the day creating with some wonderful young artists in Shepparton.
