Storybox Hub and My nonno Loves
It’s been a very special few weeks for My Nonno Loves, with our CBCA shortlisting and I’m so excited to share another piece of wonderful news…
My Nonno Loves is now available on Story Box Hub – read by me!
It was such a privilege to record the story and bring it to life in my own (Eeuukk!!) voice. I hope children and families enjoy sharing the story together, whether it’s at home, in the classroom, or at the library.
If you haven’t discovered Story Box Hub yet, it’s an incredible resource for anyone who loves picture books. It features hundreds of beautiful stories read aloud by their authors, illustrators and wonderful storytellers, making books even more accessible and entertaining for kids (and grown ups!) I’ve watched soooo many stories since getting access.
Even better, many local libraries provide free access to Story Box Hub. Simply log in with your library membership details and you should be able to start watching straight away. It’s such a fantastic way to discover new books and revisit old favourites.
This news comes alongside another milestone that still feels a little surreal – My Nonno Loves was recently shortlisted for the 2026 CBCA Book of the Year: Early Childhood Award. To have the book recognised alongside so many beautiful Australian picture books is an incredible honour, and one that Claudia and I are deeply grateful for.
From the very beginning, My Nonno Loves has been our love letter to grandparents, family traditions and the special everyday moments that stay with us forever. Knowing that the story is now reaching even more children through Story Box Hub makes this journey even more meaningful.
