The Kids’ Bookshop window

There’s something so magical about The Kids’ Bookshop in Mitcham. Tucked away in a cute little mall, this gorgeous little store is small in size but absolutely bursting with treasures! Shelves filled only with children’s books, every one of them chosen with so much love.

Claud and I were so happy to create a window display for the shop, bringing My Nonno Loves to life. We added a few special characters to the scene – Nonno and his granddaughter – peeking out as if they’d stepped right out of the pages. It felt like our story belonged there, amongst the colour and imagination that spills out of every corner of the store.

We also left behind some signed copies, ready to find their way into the hands of little readers. The highlight of the day, though, was meeting a real-life Nonna and Nonno who happened to pop in while we were setting up. We had the joy of signing books for their grandchildren, and it was such a heartwarming full-circle moment—stories inspiring life, and life reflecting right back into story.

We left with full hearts, grateful for the chance to share our book in such a joyful place.
